Thank you for your interest in Milford, MA Boy Scout Troop 2. Troop 2 belongs to the Knox Trail Council, South District. Established in 1927, we are one of the oldest, continuously serving Troops in the region. Troop 2 is a boy-led, adult-advised Troop. All of the programs are planned and executed by the Boy Scouts themselves, with experienced adult leaders available to advise and ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner. The main objective of the Troop is to encourage and support the scouts as they develop the lifelong skills of citizenship, leadership and self-reliance, while having lots of fun along the way. Christmas Tree Pick-up help needed

Help is needed for the Christmas Tree pickup.  This is a great way for the boys to get service hours and the troop makes some extra money along the way.  The date is Sunday January 4th from 8a to around 1p.   Please email michele.duffy@comcast.net if you are able to assist with this event or register online on the website.   If you have a truck or trailer that we can make use of let me know.

2015 Camp Resolute Staff Interviews

Do you have what it takes to be a member of Team Resolute? Nobscot Cabin Weekend

The Nobscot cabin weekend will be January 9 to January 11. Drop off will be at Nobscot Scout Reservaton parking lot on Friday, Jan. 9th at 4:00 pm, and pick up will be on Sunday Jan. 11 at 10:30 am, at the Nobscot parking lot. The sign-up deadline is January 8. However, If possible please turn in your permission slip at the Court of Honor on Dec. 18th (for planning purposes). The cost is $25. You can pay by check with the permission slip or sign up online and pay by credit card on the Troop website. Mr. Ruscitti will be sending out more details as we get closer to the trip. Freeze Out 2015 - Sign-up Cut-off Date is December 18

Freeze Out 2015 will be held at Camp Resolute on January 24-25. The sign-up cut-off is December 18th - NO EXCEPTIONS. This is a great event that Troop 2 participates in every year, but it is an EXTREME event and proper equipment is essential. All gear will be inspected prior to the campout at the January 8th Troop meeting. Scouts that do not have the proper equipment will not be allowed to attend. More details will be forwarded as we get closer to the event. The fee is $45 and will not be refundable after December 18th. We will be staying over one night this year and drop off is at the Camp Resolute parking lot at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday January 24th. Pick up will be at 10 am Sunday January 25th.

Credit card payments are accepted for this campout. Register for the event on the website, click the red "Add to Cart" button and follow the instructions for payment by credit card. Order of the Arrow Trail Crew

OA members interested in a high adventure trip have the opportunity to attend any of BSA's high adventure programs at a significantly reduced rate by working on the OA Trail Crew. Spend 1 week performing trail maintenance and then 1 week on a high adventure trek with your OA crew. OA Trail Crews are currently being formed for summer 2015, including Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM, Norther Tier in Ely, MN, Summit Bechtel Reserve in Bradley, WV, and Florida Sea Base in Summerland Key, FL.
