Tuesday, July 18th Troop 2 Diary:

Hello all from Camp Resolute!

Well our second full day was as much fun as the first... except for one thing I must say...

HOT!

Whew...

Okay... I'll admit it. This reporter cheated... his dog had an appointment at the vet Tuesday and well... I ate lunch at home and enjoyed some A/C...

I'm so ashamed...

But the Scouts held tough... breakfast was eggs and sausage, they then enjoyed day 2 of Merit Badge classes. The adults made sure the Scouts all had their water bottles with them and stayed hydrated. With the heat index as it was this was a MUST!

Lunch was buffalo popcorn chicken and some afternoon activities in the water and around camp. We enjoyed some meatloaf, baked potatoes, veggies and more for dinner the we were off to Scout Vespers.

After vespers we lost our SPL... well we did not lose him... he had a Board of Review... when you see Ethan next, congratulate him on being Troop 2's 92nd EAGLE SCOUT!!

While Ethan was sweating out his review, literally in this heat, the Troop had Troop swim, Troop Shoot and then PIZZA night!

We waited for the weather as well... all Scouts had a bag packed for the trek to the dining hall if we were evacuated, but it never happened. The storm and it's rain held off until late that night, just before midnight. We all beared it out in our tents and by the time revielle sounded Wednesday morning it was long gone and things were starting to dry out.

Thanks, look for more news tomorrow on Wednesday's events!
