Wednesday, July 19th Troop 2 Diary:
Wednesday was the wake up after the rain. Slightly wet around "town" the Troop had morning colors and then went off to Camp Colors and Breakfast. Breakfast was eggs and fixin's. Then we were off to Merit Badge classes and some morning fun!
The Troop got back together for a lunch of meatball subs and then enjoyed an afternoon of camp activities including swimming, sailing, boating, shooting and more!
For Dinner there was a full Turkey dinner with mashed taters, veggies and dessert. After dinner the Troop followed through on it's challenge against the staff to a game of nuke'm. Troop 2 won 2-0. Troop 2 also fielded a soccer team in a tournament in camp and won the week 3 title!
Tonight we also had one of our Scouts finish off his Communications Merit Badge by hosting a campfire program on site with some skits and songs and an overall good time.
While the fire and entertainment went on we held some boards of review and four Scouts advanced in rank. One second class, a First Class, a Star and one Life. All Scouts successfully completed their boards!
Thank You to those adults that volunteered to come into camp to help wi ht the boards. Your assistance was greatly appreciated!
