Thursday, July 20th Troop 2 Diary:

Hello again everyone!

Thursday started nicely with our Scouts and a couple of adults at the polar bear swim yet again. Then it was off to a breakfast of Resolute pancakes.

The Scouts went off to Merit Badge classes in the morning again and afterwards enjoyed a lunch of Chicken sandwiches.

The afternoon was great with the weather breaking and the hot humid weather gone and a nice sunny and milder afternoon. Scouts enjoyed shooting, archery the waterfront and working on extra Merit Badges.

The evening was a quick dinner then off to prepare for the ...

APACHE RELAY!

Troop 2 had two teams this year. The first squad was off in heat one and placed second after all was said and done. Then it was squad B and they did a great job too. Then it was time for the challenges, including Troop 2 versus the CIT's (Troop 2 won) and the Camp-wide Scoutmaster Team versus the Staff... we won't discuss that one.

Meanwhile, while the second heat and challenges were ongoing some of the adults returned to camp for advancement work. Thursday night the group held eight... yes 8... Boards of Review and all eight boards were successful! They wrapped up just after midnight and got some well deserved rest... as did the Scouts.

While the fun was going on at the waterfront and throughout camp, a special visitor came into camp and made something very special. Mr. Steven Rugoletti stopped by and kept up the family tradition... and graced the Scouts and adults with some very special donuts...

Thank You Steve... you, your Mother and of course our ol' friend Papa Smurf are always in our thoughts and prayers.
