Personal Equipment:
We cannot allow Scouts or Scouters to use their own program equipment on the Reservation. This includes mountain bikes, firearms, ammunition, archery equipment, and personal watercraft. However, we do encourage Scouts to bring fishing gear to Yawgoog.

Leaving Camp:
If a Scout must leave camp, a troop leader should bring him to the respective Camp office where he will obtain a Scout Leaving Camp Card. This card is signed by the Scoutmaster and Camp Director and kept on file at the Camp Office. Proper identification is required of the person the Scout is leaving with.

Arriving at Camp:
Vehicles should be parked in parking lot areas only. No private vehicles will be allowed on the camp road. Exceptions for disabled persons can be arranged, preferably in advance, with the Camp Director.

Family members are welcome to accompany the troop to our campsite and help settle
their scouts in. No pets are allowed on camp property. For the safety of your pet and others at camp, please leave your pets at home when you bring your Scout to camp.

Advancement:
One of the reasons for going to camp is to earn merit badges. Once you decide which badges to take, you should obtain a current copy of the merit badge book for each badge. Merit badge books are available at the Scout Shop in Framingham, and at the camp’s Trading Post. Be sure that you read the requirements of the badge and complete any pre-camp requirements. If, for any reason, you do not complete all the requirements for a badge during your week at camp, you will receive a partial for that badge. This partial can be completed any time up to your eighteenth birthday.

A few guidelines for Troop 2 Summer Camp participants.
-Camp Yawgoog and Troop 2 does not allow Scouts to bring cell phones, pagers or beepers. No exceptions.
-Radios with speakers, TVs, video games are not allowed.

- A personal radio or CD player with earphones is allowed. (But it had better not be loud enough for me to hear as I walk by!)
-Leave anything of real value or very sentimental value at home. Do not bring anything to camp that you cannot risk losing.
-Inappropriate logos on any clothing (T-shirts, head gear etc.) will not be allowed.
-Remember; how you act, speak, and behave all reflect on you, your parents and your troop. A Troop 2 Scout always uses the Scout Oath and Scout Law as his guide!
