92 Years of Scouting in Milford, MA
~ Established 1927 ~
Thank you for your interest in BSA Scout Troop 2 and Troop 219, chartered by Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Milford, MA. Troops 2 and 219 are in the BSA Mayflower Council, Headwaters District. Established in 1927, Troop 2 is one of the oldest, continuously serving Boy Scout Troops in the region. In February 2019, with approval from BSA Mayflower Council, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish was issued a charter for Troop 219, an all-female Scouts BSA Troop. Althought they are separately chartered units, Troop 2 and Troop 219 participate in numerous joint activities and are operated under a single Troop Committee. Troop 219 includes scouts from Milford and the surrounding towns of Hopkinton, Hopedale, and Franklin.
Troops 2 and 219 are scout-led, adult-advised Troops. All of the programs are planned and executed by the Scouts themselves, with experienced adult leaders available to advise and ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner. The main objective of the Troops is to encourage and support the scouts as they develop the lifelong skills of citizenship, leadership and self-reliance, while having lots of fun along the way.
