Established in 2019, Troop 219 is a Scouting America registered organization providing a program featuring the learning of Scouting and life-oriented skills by a group of youth that love to learn and have fun! The Troop is sponsored by the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church located in the town of Milford, MA.
The Troop scouting year runs from September through June each year. Meetings begin the first Thursday after Labor Day and traditionally end the second Thursday in June. The Troop meets every Thursday night while school is in session. Meetings are held at the Club Room in Milford Catholic Elementary school from 7 to 8:15p.
Each summer, the Troop attends Summer Camp during the second week of July at Camp Squanto. Here the Scouts enjoy the week camping out every night, learning new Scout and life skills, and having fun with other scouts.
In 2024, Troop 219 celebrated its 5th year of Scouting -- but the best is yet to come, for many future scouts.
